Yet responsible folks DO NOT plan for them, nor try and swindle folks into thinking this is a Purebreed Breed with funky papers. NO ethical AKC Pembroke or Cardigan Welsh Corgi person would do such nor want their bloodlines being affiliated with this kind of practice. Due to the recent high rise in Unethical Welsh Corgi breeders, i feel it is time for folks to be aware. Most of these dogs were sold to the owner with a AKC Limited registration contract which was not upheld, and the dogs were bred without the breeders acceptance. The Cardigan and the Pembroke have 2 very different bone structure and crossing them at this time is just not doing justice to the breed. Sad to see sorry looking, unsound mixes being bred for color. Then registering them with CKC papers (which you can pick any dog off the side road and register them with).... Walnut Creek Cardigan Welsh Corgi's has long time stood for AKC recognized breed standards and will always continue to do so.... Having raised Pembroke and Cardigan Welsh Corgis' for 20+ years, I see someone is trying to steal the identity Prefix of Walnut Creek Corgis' (Don't be fooled, we are not in Texas...)
